This role requires a strategic thinker, an exceptional leader, and a hands-on sales professional who can build and manage a high-performing sales team while fostering strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders within the agricultural industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for organic fertilizers in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting clear performance targets and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers, and agricultural organizations to expand market reach.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to make informed business decisions.
- Analyse sales data and metrics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase our products and build brand awareness.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 5-7 years of successful sales experience in the agricultural or agribusiness sector, preferably with a focus on organic fertilizers.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a sales team effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Deep understanding of the agricultural industry, including distribution channels, market dynamics, and customer needs.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
